The workshop on assemblage of watches in La Chaux-de-Fonds is created by Lui Brandt in 1848, in a year of the basis of the Swiss confederation. In 1880 Lui Brandt's sons have transferred manufacture in Bienne where manpower resources, energy and communications were more accessible.

Company Bienne was the first manufacturer of watches who has refused assembly workshops in favour of a modern manufacturing from own a component. 1848 Lui Brandt creates in La the Sho-de-background (Switzerland) a workshop on assemblage of a pocket watch.

1889 Louis Brandt and Fills becomes the largest watches company in Switzerland with staff of 600 persons and letting out 100'000 pieces of watches per year.

1894 In Bil Louis Brandt and Fils let out the well-known calibre of watches "Omega 19-line", received such popularity that the company has made decision to change the name on Omega.

1900, World's fair in Paris. OMEGA receives Gran At the international jury for the magnificent collection including prestigious watches Greek Temple, executed of pure gold. By this time OMEGA has let out more than 200 000 watches, had about 1 000 employees and was the first Swiss factory manufacturer of watches.

1917-1918 Omega becomes the official supplier of the British Royal Aviacase and Army of the USA during the First World War.

1932 Omega for the first time times Olympic games. From this point on Omega takes part in the most considerable sports meets worldwide.

1957 Creation of Chronograph Speedmaster.

1965 After the strict tests space program NASA chooses chronograph Omega Speedmaster the official watches.

1969 on 21st of July Nile Armstrong became the first person who has stepped into a surface of the Moon. It was accompanied by watches Omega Speedmaster.

1981 French swimmer Rolan Speker has carried out on Nevshatelsky lake tremendous immersing without an aqualung on 80 metres. Thus it has broken own record of immersing on lakes where water is more dark and colder, than at ocean. watches took part in this test Omega Seamaster 120 m.

1989 Speedmaster Professional become official watches of the Soviet cosmonauts.

1993 Release of chronograph Seamaster Professional. It is the first mechanical chronograph for a scuba diving, functioning on depth to 300 m.

1998 Release Omega Speedmaster Professional X-33, the watches created together with cosmonauts and professional pilots. In them the newest technical functions necessary in space flights are collected.

1999 Omega represents the world premiere: the coaxial mechanism.
